Eden Court theatre, with its choice of two cinema screens, two theatres, restaurant, café bar and exhibition space, is a 15 minute upstream stroll along the banks of the River Ness.

Inverness is the perfect location as a base for exploring the wider Highlands and Islands with excellent bus and rail transport links to the North, South, East and West.  Many tours and daytrips leave from the bus station or from nearby city centre points.

BY RAIL

Inverness Railway Station, located around 300m/330yds away, is around five minutes walk from us.  Exit through the main concourse and walk down Union Street, which is directly opposite the station square.  At the end of Union Street turn right onto Church Street and continue.  You will find us towards the end of Church Street on the left hand side, opposite School Lane.

BY COACH

Inverness Bus Station is located at Farraline Park, around 200m/220yds away, and is less than five minutes walk from us. Leave the station by Margaret Street, at the front of the station square and by the booking office.  At the end of Margaret Street turn right onto Academy Street, cross at the pedestrian crossing, continue along Academy Street and turn left onto School Lane.  As soon as your turn onto School Lane you will see the hotel building facing you at the end of the lane.

BY FERRY

Caledonian MacBrayne operates passenger and freight ferries between Ullapool and Stornoway on the Isle-of-Lewis in the Outer Hebrides.  Buses connect with ferry arrivals and departures and will take you between Ullapool Ferry Terminal and Inverness bus station in no more than 90 minutes.

BY AIR

Inverness Airport has an excellent choice of routes to many destinations throughout the Highlands and Islands.  Wider destinations include Belfast, Bristol, Manchester and Birmingham as well as three routes to London including Heathrow, Gatwick and Luton.  International routes include Dublin and a daily Amsterdam connection.

The Airport Bus, operated by Stagecoach, will take you from outside the airport terminal to Inverness bus station in around 35 minutes and we are no more than 5 minutes walk from the bus station.  The number 11 airport bus runs approximately twice per hour during daytimes from Monday to Saturday with the 10A and 11A operating less frequent early morning, evening and Sunday services.

Taxis are available from outside the airport terminal.  A taxi ride to us will take around 15 minutes and will cost approximately £30.00.

To get to us by car, enter Church Street by the north end of the street, via Friar’s Lane.  As you drive up Church Street you will find us on the right hand side, opposite School Lane.  GPS: IV1 1ES

PARKING

Please note that the hotel does not have a car park however there are several nearby parking options. Parking regulations in the city centre are strictly enforced and a penalty charge notice will be issued for incorrect parking or expired tickets.  Please familiarise yourself with parking procedures and locations prior to your arrival.

Parking on Church Street is unrestricted overnight from 6pm until 8am, Monday to Saturday and all day on Sundays, in Pay & Display parking bays and in Loading Bays.

During the day parking on Church Street is metered at £2 for one hour maximum from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Saturday.  Ticket machines accept coins or contactless cards as payment and will require your vehicle registration number.  Alternatively, use your Ringo app.

Tickets purchased after 6pm will cover the period from 8am the following morning.  Two hour parking bays are available around the corner from us on Friar’s Street.

A 15 minute free ticket is available for short term parking in parking bays.  Enter your vehicle registration number and press the green button twice on any machine and display the ticket as usual.

During the day from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Saturday, parking in loading bays is permitted free of charge for a maximum of five minutes for loading or unloading luggage or passengers.  Two Disabled parking bays are located directly outside the hotel.  Please ensure that Disabled bays are used only if a valid Blue Badge is clearly displayed.

The nearby Old Town Rose Street Car Park, IV1 1NQ, is a 3 minute walk from us, via Rose Street and School Lane, and offers long-term parking at good value rates tiered up to £9.00 for 24 hours.  Take a ticket on entry.  Keep your ticket and pay just prior to removing your car.  Payment machines are located on the Ground Floor at the pedestrian entrance at the rear of the Bus Station square and will accept notes, coins or contactless cards.

Long-term underground parking is also available at the Falcon Gallery car park under the Eastgate shopping centre next to the railway station.  Cars can be left in Falcon Gallery overnight however the car park is locked at midnight and access in or out is unavailable between midnight and 8am.
