Accommodation
The MacDougall Clansman Hotel has been privately owned and run by the MacDougall family since it was established in 1959.
Over the years we have tried our best to provide comfortable and affordable central accommodation for Inverness in a traditional Highland style, while trying also to achieve a feeling of calm in the midst of the bustle of city life.
All but one of our fifteen bedrooms now have en-suite facilities and all bedrooms have colour television, tea and coffee making facilities, individually controlled central heating and double glazing.
Since recent bedroom refurbishments, we can now offer the choice of smoking or non-smoking for all room types, which include single, double and twin bedded rooms plus family rooms to sleep up to four persons. Extra beds are also available, if required.
A cooked Scottish breakfast is included in all room rates and a continental breakfast can be provided on request for guests who have to leave us early in the morning.
The hotel has never had a public bar but since the early 1980’s we have held a purely residential licence, which we feel contributes to a quieter, more homely atmosphere.
